OD Member Networking EventsNovember 29, 2016
Donna Smithson outlines forthcoming member events available to members of The Beech Centre.
I have great excitement in sharing some of the upcoming member benefits available to members of The Beech Centre. It is a very exciting time to be a part of The Beech Centre’s membership community and this excitement is only set to continue as we journey ever closer to being realised as the UK’s Institute for OD. We are so proud and blessed to have a passionate and dedicated membership community who are determined to see The Beech Centre’s Institute aspiration realised and we are always looking to expand this. Following a successful eighth members conference in September and a third successful Round Table event hosted by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, we are already in the process of planning more exciting events in 2017, please see below for further information:
OD Masterclass with Dr Mee-Yan Cheung-Judge
We are delighted to be able to welcome Mee-Yan Cheung-Judge as our guest speaker for this session on Friday 9th December 2016, which will be focused around the future of organisations and what this means for OD and our sense of identity as OD practitioners. Mee-Yan’s work has been hugely influential and integrated into the Beech Centre’s philosophy, programmes and work with our clients.
Mee-Yan was voted by UK HR Magazine as one of the top 15 most influential thinker in the field of HR in the UK – 2013, 2014, and 2015. In October 2013, she was presented with the highest award by the Organisation Development Network in USA – the Life Time Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the field of OD globally.
If what I am describing sounds like something you do not want to miss out on, then please contact my colleague firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. I would encourage you to share with your wider colleagues who may also be interested in attending this event and any other upcoming networking events.
Member conferences are an opportunity for our members to share best practice amongst each other, network with fellow organisational development and learning professionals, and learn about developments in the profession and with The Beech Centre. All member conferences are hosted and delivered through our growing membership community within their organisation’s premises. Please click here for a full conference report following the success of our recent conference jointly hosted by Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice and Northamptonshire Police.

An invitation to join the Senior Leaders Network
One of our exciting new member events is the up and coming Senior Leaders Network, which is an extremely unique opportunity to engage Chief Executive or Chief Officer colleagues, in a network of Leaders across our Membership community; throughout the public, private and third sectors. This opportunity, allows for exploration of the things that impact on an individual in this leading role. The Network provides a confidential environment that will support and challenge behaviours and responses to issues and allow key topics to be explored to increase the performance of the person acting strategically for your organisation. The group will meet face-to-face quarterly with the aim to keep in contact with each other to support in between.
The theme for February’s event will be – “Your role as a Leader”
If you would like any further details around this then please do not hesitate to contact my colleague email@example.com.
OD Round Table Events
The Beech Centre are assisting members in organising round table events as part of our desire and commitment to strengthening and developing the UK and World-Wide OD Community. If you would be interested in hosting / attending future round table events and looking for the opportunity to network with like minded Chief Executive/HR and OD Director colleagues from different public and private sector organisations then please contact my colleague firstname.lastname@example.org.
An invitation to join the OD Panel
The OD Panel is a group of up to 15 people from across our Membership community. Their role is to review articles submitted by fellow members with the aim of getting to the top 10 articles of the year. From these reviews the top article will be selected and receive recognition at the annual awards dinner in March.
The panellists can be leaders who have an interest in OD, coaches, consultants or facilitators. If you would like to be part of the OD Panel, then please get in touch with my colleague Lizzie at email@example.com to register your interest.

We are delighted to announce the first Beech Centre Annual OD Awards!
