Leadership in agile organisationsNovember 6, 2017
With our eleventh Beech Centre Member Conference focusing around leadership in agile organisations, we are delighted to confirm guest speaker Dr Linda Holbeche best-selling author and organisational design expert who will explore how to develop agility and flexibility in our structures.
There is a fundamental shift going on across public, private and not for profit sectors, transforming the nature of work and organisations and the expectations of the workforce. Innovation and increased productivity, structure change to increase agility have gone up the leadership agenda in many organisations. Structure change itself can be fraught with difficulty, not least for the effect on people, if the process is not handled well.
Leaders must engage and motivate all employees so that they can contribute to the development of the organisation. Everyone should feel a personal sense of responsibility and accountability to contribute and understand their importance in making the organisation develop and sustaining the development.
The ability to step back and take a holistic view to gain a broader perspective and then
continue to be present and active by deciding what to do next is emphasised as a key practice for agile leaders.
