We have used the facilities at The Beech Centre building a number of times for our team meetings, away days and working groups. The setting is lovely and the atmosphere is quiet, comfortable and relaxed. It proves how important it is to have the right setting to achieve the innovation and creativity we aimed to generate during our events. The catering is always good and the coffee lounge and breakout rooms formed an invaluable part of the experience.

We have a number of research projects with Beech member clients underway – all seeking to explore how OD activity contributes to sustainable changes in organisational health and wellbeing within the organisational system, which in turn leads to improved results in delivery and service quality.
Rosie Johnson, Director of Workforce, Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber NHS FT
The workshop has contributed to a culture change within the organisation, with a move away from self-reliance and silo-working to a position based much more on the collective, on a culture of mutual respect and support.
Workshop Participant, Cambridgeshire Constabulary 2014
Working with Beech has been a genuine strategic partnership. Beech has never wavered from its original commitment to provide strong support and strong challenge.
Dr Richard Heseltine, Director of LLI, University of Hull
We had the Strategic OD workshop session with the senior team and the questions in the OD Diagnostic were really thought provoking…the facilitation by Beech got us into a debate which we would not otherwise have had. It gave us the opportunity to really explore things as a team, to challenge each other and question how to take our Organisational Development programme forward.
Chris Bain, former CEO, Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber NHS FT
We quickly realised that we needed an enormous amount of support to help us on our journey of change so we elected The Beech Centre. The reason for choosing Beech was their ethics and values which were so aligned to the way in which we think. It was also about finding a long-term partner, as this would not be a quick fix. We wanted a partner that would work with us on a sustainable agenda and help us to deliver a better performance in our hospital whilst also maintaining what makes it really special.
Lynn Cunningham, Director of Corporate Services, Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability
Although all the participants had attended a wide variety of management and leadership courses and qualifications previously, I have no doubt that the programme facilitated by The Beech Centre had the greatest impact at both an emotional and operational level. This programme got to the heart of who these leaders are, how they perceive themselves and how others perceive them. As a critical group of senior leaders in the constabulary I now have a team who understand each other, will support each other and will work in a cohesive manner to achieve the significant transformation which lies ahead of us.

Excellent! I feel more confident in facilitating and challenging uncomfortable moments when / perceived aggression and while running meetings and training events. Just Great – thanks. Great team and great facilitation.
Kate Bridgemen – University of Hull
The course helps you re-appraise your consultancy style, learn new techniques and have the opportunity to explore different approaches. I not only found it helpful personally, but both during and after the course I was able to share the learning with my team and colleagues and improve the NHS IMAS offer for clients, partners and pool members.
Janet Walter, NHS IMAS Managing Partner Venue
I have really enjoyed attending The Beech Centre’s OD certificate programme. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that I already notice myself using in various situations, both at work and in other areas of my life. The peaceful surroundings and collaborative facilitation style enabled me to really connect with what I was learning and get as much as I could out of the programme.
